P5M - Notes for Tuesday, 16th March

15th Mar 2021

Tuesday ,  16th March 2021

Hi boys and girls,

I hope you are all keeping well and enjoyed the lovely weather on Monday.  Hopefully the weather will stay good, especially as we are off school on Wednesday for St Patrick’s Day 🥳

Our plan for Tuesday, 16th March is as follows

Session 1 – Numeracy

New Waves Mental Maths – Pg 18 (Tues).  I will post the answers on M afternoon.

Multiplying by 3 Quiz.  Listen to the 3 times tables song again as this will help you learn them (Multiplying by 3) on YouTube https://youtu.be/UnbV3iBVjc4

Subtracting HTU’s – .  (3 digit subtraction sheet on the theme of St Patrick’s Day ☘️ ) (You don’t have to hand this sheet in as I will post the answers on Tuesday afternoon.  I will also make it as an assignment as I know some of you can’t print off the sheets so some of you might have to hand your work in for me to mark and that is absolutely ok.  If you can print the sheet out then you won’t need to go to the trouble of taking a photograph and then uploading it on Tuesday.)

Session 2 – Literacy.

Spellings – verbs adding ‘ed’.  Complete spelling list and crossword.

St Patrick’s Day fun activity- make a card to give to someone in your family or to a friend and write a special message inside.  I have downloaded templates for you to use.  There are four to pick from. You do not have to hand this activity in.  When you are finished you might want to send it off to someone you haven’t seen during lockdown. If you want to post your card to someone in our class and you don’t know their address you could post the card to me using our school address and then I can forward your card on for you to your friend.

Session 3 – Integrated Week Activity/St Patrick’s Day.

Making green milk for St Patrick’s Day.  St Patrick’s Day is celebrated all over the world and can a time for people to get ‘together’.  With Covid restrictions we won’t be able to do that this year so instead I thought that you could make a milkshake for you and your family to enjoy together.  As tomorrow is St Patrick’s Day, I was thinking that you might want to make a green milkshake.  I have uploaded instructions on how to do this.  In the instructions it says to add mint flavouring but if you don’t like mint, you can leave it out.

Have fun!
