Braidside Integrated Primary & Nursery School

Braidside Take 5 Day Next Wednesday 8th May we will hold our Take 5 day, with a sponsored walk on our grounds, a colouring/ poster competition, outdoor activities and "Beautiful Things" challenge. Pupils should ensure they are wearing trainers/ suitable footwear for their class walk. Sponsor sheets have been distributed to all classes and hopefully children have been getting support from family and friends. We have been working extremely hard in P6O on our Natural Disasters topic this half term. But would you believe that there have been lots of natural disasters happening in the world while we have been in school.
We focussed on volcanic eruptions because of the volcano Cumbra Vieja which erupted in La Palma. We know all about the structure of volcanos, why and how they erupt, the damage they cause. We have made our own model volcanoes and written newspaper reports. We’ve been very busy!
