We were delighted to welcome Permanent Secretary, Mr Derek Baker to the school on Wednesday 13th February. While here Mr Baker met Ms McAuley, Governors, members of the Project Board, Roisin Marshall (NICIE CEO) and Cormac Murphy (Glasgiven) to discuss the on-going school build. During a tour and review, everyone was greatly encouraged by the visible progress on the site. All sub-structure blockwork is near completion for the Nursery and Key Stage 1 and 2 areas, while bricklayers are advancing with classroom walls. In the next few weeks foundations will be completed for the hall and structural steel will be erected for this area too. Ms McAuley has also been arranging for visits to the site in the weeks ahead for the children, so hopefully they can take a few pictures too!
