Dear Parents,
I hope you and your family are all well and enjoying the summer break. We are busy planning for the return to school and intend to publish Braidside Restart Plan next week. You will be aware that the Education Minister, Peter Weir, announced yesterday that all pupils will return to school following the summer break; which is what we had been working towards too. We have received correspondence from Dept of Education to note that updated guidance will be issued to Principals and schools next week. Therefore it is appropriate to share our restart plan whenever we have reviewed the new guidance.
In a letter to parents dated 3rd July, we had noted that:
P7 will return to school on Monday 24th August and
P2-P6 will return on Tuesday 1st September.
P1 and Nursery pupils will be informed of their start dates shortly.
In addition you will find information attached to this post, of the dates and times of our planned Induction Sessions for P2-P6. This will be an opportunity for the children to familiarise themselves with the new school, their classroom and to meet their new teacher. We look forward to welcoming them on these days.
