Dear parents and guardians,
The RAISE Programme is a whole community, place-based approach in 15 localities across Northern Ireland supporting the Department of Education’s vision that “Every child and young person is Happy, Learning and Succeeding”.
The RAISE Programme will help to deliver on the mission, set by the report ‘A Fair Start’ to ensure all children and young people regardless of background are given the best start in life. The programme provides an important opportunity to look afresh at the barriers to learning and educational achievement that some of our children and young people are facing.
The RAISE Programme strategic objectives are:
• Raising achievement and addressing educational disadvantage; and
• Raising aspirations through a whole community approach to education
The Department of education (NI) want to hear from parents and carers about what support would help you, your children and young people to do well. Your views will help to inform and shape local plans to ensure that these programmes meet the needs of families living in your area.
