Primary 7Y Activities

15th Jun 2020

Hey everyone. I really hope that you are all planning to join our drive by birthday party on Sunday. I am really looking forward to seeing all of your happy smiling faces (from a safe distance of course).

This is our final week of online activities. As those of you who are on regularly know, our classroom printer decided to go on its summer holiday early and this had made it impossible for me to scan my new wave mental maths etc onto the site. So, with that in mind, I have taken a few 'fun' maths off Twinkl this week for you to keep those minds busy. There is an activity on the Fibonacci sequence... we explored this right back in term one... so have a go at that. I have included a couple of the Twinkl mysteries... one on a cinema problem (oh what I wouldn't give for a cinema trip right now) and another to do with breakfasts.

I really recommend that you read this week's First News. There is so much going on in the world right now about Racism... you will I'm sure be aware of the 'Black Lives Matter' campaign and how this has come about... this of course fits perfectly with our topic work this term, so it is well worth dipping in to.

If you would like to email me with your thoughts and views on the subject of George Floyd, what happened, the campaign which has followed, the riots that have occurred or anything else to do with this topic, please do... as always, my email address is cyoung439@c2kni.net

I hope you all enjoyed the lovely weather at the weekend. I got a lovely day at Portrush at the weekend with my boys, my mum and my dogs. You will all be utterly delighted to know that I also got all your reports finished... I'm fairly delighted to have that done too.

Stay busy, enjoy your week and I look forward to Sunday xx
