Braidside Take 5 Day Next Wednesday 8th May we will hold our Take 5 day, with a sponsored walk on our grounds, a colouring/ poster competition, outdoor activities and "Beautiful Things" challenge. Pupils should ensure they are wearing trainers/ suitable footwear for their class walk. Sponsor sheets have been distributed to all classes and hopefully children have been getting support from family and friends. Primary 4O making numbers grow for Science Week

Today we looked at how we could make a number grow bigger!! We used a jam jar full of water and the number 108 written on a piece of paper. We placed the paper behind the jar of water. When we looked at the number through the jar of water it had grown to 801!! How did this happen? We learnt that it was caused by something called refraction. We then tried the same experiment using two fish drawn facing in opposite directions. By placing the fish behind the jar of water they changed direction. How amazing is science🌟
