P6/7C work 4th May

3rd May 2020

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all well and have had a good week. The weather wasn't quite as good but according to the forecast the sunshine is to be back again this week!! I hope you managed to get some of your work done last week, don't worry about printing off worksheets, just write the answers on a piece of paper or in your classwork books.

Mental Maths: I have given you four mental maths tests again this week, as last week the first two are easier than the last two. Just do as much as you can.

Maths Fractions: I have given you some worksheets on fractions similar to the types of questions we have come across in our New Wave daily maths. If you are in group 2 maths you just need to do the first three fraction pages.

Spellings: There are sheets for those of you who do 15 spellings - just do the first 2 pages. For those of you who do 10 spellings you have ten spellings to correct and learn the correct spelling.

Comprehension: You should still have some of the comprehensions to complete from the work pack you were given.

Literacy: Over the past few weeks you have probably noticed a lot more birds in the gardens. At my house some swallows are busy building their nests. I have included a description of swifts and swallows for you to read. I would like you to make a list of the differences between swifts and swallows. You could even do a little bit of research to find out some facts and even see if you can spot any of these birds when you are out for a walk.

Remember this Friday is a bank holiday and you would have been off school, so put your school books away and have a break. Do you know why this Friday is a bank holiday?

Take care and stay safe.
