Braidside Integrated Primary & Nursery School
Braidside Take 5 Day Next Wednesday 8th May we will hold our Take 5 day, with a sponsored walk on our grounds, a colouring/ poster competition, outdoor activities and "Beautiful Things" challenge. Pupils should ensure they are wearing trainers/ suitable footwear for their class walk. Sponsor sheets have been distributed to all classes and hopefully children have been getting support from family and friends. We are focusing on wellbeing, sun awareness and celebrating national walking month. #take5#stepstowellbeing#connect#keeplearning#beactive#takenote#give | May Day Holiday School will be closed on Monday 6th May for the May Day holiday.

P5M activities for Monday, 11th January

Hi boys and girls, 

All your activities for today have been posted onto TEAMS.

We will have 3 sessions today and all the resources that you will need are inside the pack I sent home on Friday. 

Our first session will be Literacy based -

  • The first part is to complete page B45 from our handwriting booklet.  Today you will do the ob join, the ot join and the oh join.  The video for this has been posted onto TEAMS.
  • The next part is spellings.  This week we are looking at the soft c pattern. Again, a video has been posted onto TEAMS about our spellings.  Our spellings will follow the usual pattern. You will complete your spelling list for the week, then the Monday column and then finally the word search. Videos for spellings can be found on TEAMS.
  • our final Literacy task is our weekly comprehension called A perfect Picnic 🧺 .  Please refer to TEAMS for video if you can. 

our second session today is Numeracy.

  • First we will complete pg 2, Monday section, from New Waves Maths.  You will write your answers into the orange class work book. It has already been ruled out for you.  I will post the answers for this onto TEAMS this afternoon.
  • For the second part of our numeracy you will need Heinemann 4 Mathematics Number Workbook.  You will also need your place value card and materials.  Today we will complete pg 1 and 2 from this workbook.  When completed please email me a copy of this work or send me a copy through TEAMS. 

Session 3

  • For this you will need the 2021 Calendar page.  For this task you have to draw a picture in the blank box then colour and decorate it.  I then want you to use the calendar to find out how many days are in each month.  You don’t have to write anything down, just have a wee look at each month to see how many days each month has. When finished, I would love for you to send me a copy of your finished poster 😊

    I hope that this is all straight forward for you. Remember you only have to send me 2 things, your maths workbook tasks and your calendar activity. For the other tasks the answers will be posted onto TEAMS for you to check.
