Braidside Integrated Primary & Nursery School
Braidside Take 5 Day Next Wednesday 8th May we will hold our Take 5 day, with a sponsored walk on our grounds, a colouring/ poster competition, outdoor activities and "Beautiful Things" challenge. Pupils should ensure they are wearing trainers/ suitable footwear for their class walk. Sponsor sheets have been distributed to all classes and hopefully children have been getting support from family and friends. We are focusing on wellbeing, sun awareness and celebrating national walking month. #take5#stepstowellbeing#connect#keeplearning#beactive#takenote#give

National Storytelling Week

Ever since I was a young child, I have always adored Roald Dahl books. I enjoy how he depicts his characters. I love how he uses very specific vocabulary and names of each to clearly portray the characteristics of each. In Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,  each of the ticket winners have quite grotesque personalities, apart from our humble Charlie. Their very names sound like how the characters should look and act. I adore the original film too. Here’s a clip from chp 21, where the arrogant and selfish Beauregard turns blue!  Listen in.....
