Florence Nightingale

11th May 2020

On Tuesday 12th May it is International Nurses Day. This day has been chosen because it is the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birthday. So who was Florence Nightingale and what did she do that has made her famous? Maybe you've heard her surname 'Nightingale' used in the news recently and wondered why. Well now is your opportunity to find out. Click on the link below and it will bring you to BBC history videos where you will watch a clip and find out who she was and what she did. There are a list of questions after the video. What will you do to answer them?

*Will you write out the answers in a book/page?

*Will you make a poster full of illustrations and facts?

*Will you talk to someone at home about the information you now know?

*Will you 'hotseat' Florence Nightingale?

*Will you produce your own slideshow? Or your own news report?
