Today at Braidside we’re celebrating all the different cultures that are represented in our school. Following assembly this morning, the children were grouped together, with other classes and year groups to experience lots of workshops throughout the day. They’ll learn about places, language, traditions, celebrations, food, clothing and music. From Romania, France, Spain to Poland, Pakistan and Sri Lanka to name a few.
At the same time Mrs Fenton, was also holding a religion workshop which will celebrate some of the religions in our school too.
This is what makes integrated education special, bringing children together from different religions and none, cultures and abilities to learn with each other, about each other and from each other.
Thank you to the parents who participated in assembly and the workshops with the children.
